Designing radiopharmaceuticals is incredibly difficult, because it requires juggling an awful lot of complex variables that are changeable over time. In this explainer animation, we give an overview of the different types of half-life that are important to keep in mind (physical, biological, effective) and how they combine into a delivered dose of radiation. Carefully considering these concepts can make a great difference to how effective a compound can be for the patient.
