If you're not a medical imaging professional, scrolling through MRI or PET scan slices can be confusing, because it's hard to relate those image stacks back to our body in three dimensions.

By isolating particular tissues or regions of interest from those data sets, we can extract 3D geometry that we can then animate. That gives you a gorgeous 3D represen-tation that is both completely accurate, and much easier to understand for an untrained eye.
